Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Delegoat (“Delegoat”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information generated when you use the Service, and a small amount of information from third parties (e.g. authentication providers).

1.1 Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, an optional avatar image, and the password (or third-party identifier) you use to sign in. We use this to authenticate you and to associate your activity with the right account.

1.2 Team and task content

Delegoat is built around delegating tasks to people. To do that, we store: team names, team codes, member roles, task titles, descriptions, comments, attachments, due dates, statuses, history logs, and the relationships between them (who created what, who is assigned to what).

1.3 Voice recordings and transcripts

When you use the voice-input feature, audio is recorded on your device, transcribed into text, and the text is sent to our AI provider for parsing into a structured task. We do not retain raw audio after transcription unless you explicitly enable a debug option. Transcripts and parsed tasks are stored as part of your account.

1.4 Usage information

We collect basic technical information about how you use the Service: device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, crash reports, and aggregated event counts (e.g. how often a feature is used). We use this to keep the Service running and to improve it.

1.5 Information from third parties

If you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and a unique identifier from those providers. We do not receive your password.

2. How we use information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• To process voice input and create tasks on your behalf
• To send notifications, reminders, and follow-ups
• To enforce permissions between managers and team members
• To improve the Service, prevent abuse, and debug issues
• To communicate with you about your account or important changes

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:

• Within your team: task content is visible to the people involved in that task and to the manager of that team, exactly as the product is designed to work.
• Service providers: we use vendors to host the database, run AI parsing, send notifications, and handle payments. They only receive what they need to perform their function.
• Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.

4. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. Archived tasks remain available until you delete them. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to keep it for legal reasons.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise these rights from inside the app or by contacting us at the email below. We will respond within a reasonable time frame.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, encrypted storage, authentication, access controls) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.

7. Children

Delegoat is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. International transfers

Delegoat is operated from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and your information is processed in the UAE and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service you consent to such transfers, subject to appropriate safeguards under applicable UAE data protection law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the change means you accept the updated policy.
